B-Side is a publication platform for texts, visual essays and artistic contributions situated between artistic practice, critical reflection and speculative thought. Inspired by the B-sides of vinyl records — often spaces for experimentation and unexpected material — the publication brings together heterogeneous forms of writing and image production that resist clear categorisation.
Emerging from the context of the DAP Open Lectures within the PhD Program in Fine Arts, B-Side extends the conversations initiated there into a shared space of collective thinking, exchange and future memory.
The text Marked Spaces was prepared by the author immediately after the open class she gave in March 2024 in the context of our PhD in Fine Arts.
